This Privacy Policy explains what information Cicibicim ("we", "us") collects when you use the Cicibicim app and website, how we use it, and the choices you have. Cicibicim is developed by Ata Atayev and Eid Almunajed, based in Bursa, Türkiye.

By using Cicibicim, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here. If you have questions, you can reach us anytime at info@cicibicim.com.

Account information: when you create an account, we collect your email address and password. Your password is handled entirely by our authentication provider (Google Firebase) — we never see or store it ourselves. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google.

Profile information: you can optionally add a username and a short bio, and choose an avatar. None of this is required to use the app. Your bio stays on your own device. Your username and avatar are also shown on the leaderboard (see below).

Learning progress: your XP, completed chapters, quiz results, and streaks are stored on your device and also saved to your account in our database (Google Firebase), together with your account email and the time you were last active. This is how your progress follows you to a new phone or survives reinstalling the app.

Leaderboard: your username (or "Anonymous" if you haven't set one), avatar, XP, streak, and a Pro badge if you are a Cicibicim Pro member are shown on the leaderboard to other signed-in Cicibicim learners. Your email address is never shown there.

App diagnostics: when the app crashes or runs into an error, it can send us a technical report — for example your device model, operating system version, app version, and what the app was doing at the time — so we can find and fix the problem.

Pro waitlist: if you tap "Notify Me" on the Cicibicim Pro screen, we save your account email and the date you joined the waitlist, so we can let you know when Pro launches.

Subscription and purchase information: if you subscribe to Cicibicim Pro, the payment is made through Google Play in the Android app, or through Paddle on our website. Google or Paddle handles your payment details — we never see or store your card or bank information. Paddle also receives the email address and billing country you enter at checkout. To confirm that your subscription is active, we use a subscription-management service called RevenueCat, which receives your Cicibicim account ID and your purchase history (which plan you bought, when, and whether it is active, in a trial, or cancelled).

Mini-game play time: to apply the free mini-game limit, we store on your own device how much free play time you have used. This stays on your device.

Advertising information (Android app only): free users can choose to watch a short video ad to get 5 more minutes of mini-game play. These ads are provided by Google AdMob. When an ad is requested or shown, Google and its advertising partners may collect your device's advertising ID, your IP address (which can show your approximate location), basic device and app information, and how you interacted with the ad. We do not receive this information ourselves — we only learn whether the ad was watched to the end, so we can add your extra play time.

We do not collect your phone number, precise location, or contacts, and we do not receive your payment card details.

We use your information to create and secure your account, sync your progress, run the leaderboard, confirm your Cicibicim Pro subscription and unlock Pro features, save your Pro waitlist interest, send you account-related emails (like a welcome message or a password reset), fix crashes, and improve the app. Our team can view account and progress records to help with support and to understand how Cicibicim is used.

Ads appear only in the Android app, and only when you choose to watch one for extra mini-game time. Cicibicim Pro subscribers are never shown ads, and there are no ads on our website.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone, and we do not share your account details, learning progress, or purchase history with advertisers.

Cicibicim's AI Speaking Coach is built from hand-written conversation scripts created by our team — it does not send your responses to any external AI provider. If this changes in the future (for example, if we add a real-time AI-powered coach), we will update this policy and let you know before that feature is available.

We use Google Firebase to run our backend (authentication, database, and hosting). Firebase processes data on our behalf under Google's own privacy and security terms. We also use Google Search Console and, on our website, Google Analytics to understand how the site is used (for example which pages are visited and which buttons are pressed). Analytics cookies are only set if you accept them in the banner on our website; if you decline, no analytics cookies are stored on your device.

We use Sentry to receive the crash and error reports described above, so we can keep the app stable. Sentry processes these reports on our behalf under its own privacy and security terms.

Subscriptions are sold through Google Play in the Android app, which is governed by Google's own terms and privacy policy, and through Paddle.com on our website. Paddle is the Merchant of Record for website purchases: it takes the payment, handles tax and invoices, and processes your data under its own terms and privacy policy. RevenueCat processes your account ID and purchase history on our behalf, only to manage and verify subscriptions, under its own privacy and security terms. We do not sell this information and do not use it for advertising.

We use Google AdMob to show the optional video ads described above. Google and its partners use the advertising information they collect to show, personalise, and measure ads, under Google's own privacy policy. You can read how Google uses this information at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. We ask Google to limit ads in Cicibicim to content suitable for a general audience.

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your associated data within a reasonable time, except where we are required to keep it for legal reasons.

Subscription and purchase records are also held by Google Play, Paddle and RevenueCat under their own retention policies and financial and legal requirements, so they may remain after you delete your Cicibicim account. Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription — to stop being charged, cancel it first: in Google Play if you subscribed in the Android app, or from Manage subscription on the Pro screen if you subscribed on our website.

Cicibicim is intended for users aged 13 and older. If you are under 13, please only use Cicibicim with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without appropriate consent. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information without such consent, please contact us at info@cicibicim.com and we will remove it.

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you at any time by emailing info@cicibicim.com, including asking us to have your subscription record removed from RevenueCat where the law allows. You can also delete your account directly from the app.

Ad choices: if you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the app asks for your consent before any ad is requested, and you can change or withdraw that choice at any time from Profile → Ad Privacy Choices. Wherever you live, you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or turn off ad personalisation, in your Android device's settings under Google → Ads. You never have to watch an ad to use Cicibicim.

We may update this Privacy Policy as Cicibicim grows and adds new features. If we make significant changes, we will let you know in the app before they take effect.
